    Cairntoul but fancy a decent breakfast. Any suggestions between Aboyne
    and Braemar or the Blairgowrie to Braemar road.

    One option would be to adopt the practice of those members of the outdoors
    fraternity who claim that, in former times, they prepared their meals, with
    the aid of a primus stove, outside the Fife Arms Hotel. Apparently, the
    pleasure afforded by such an arrangement was enhanced by the expressions to

    I was up that way a week ago, but from the other direction (Larig Ghru).
    There was a lot of water in the Dee and Lui, but it may have run off by now.
    Enjoy you trip - it looks like the weather will be picking up. Oh, and I
    nearly forgot - take midge protection, I was nearly eaten allive in Glen
    Geusachen - I've never seem midges so bad!
