  1. Hello folks.
I did something I have always fancied having ago at this week. My wife and I
went to the local university climbing wall and had a go.
I love it! I have been back twice more since the induction and although I
now hurt in odd places I am completely hooked.
I have a dreadful fear of heights and I think this may help.
I think this is going to add a whole new dimension to our outdoor pursuits.

Why did I wait so long to try it.

    Rich.

  2. Rich,
Which university? Do you have to be connected with the university to
    use its facilities?

Most universities let 'civilians' in to use their facilities, tho they
won't subsidise it for you so you'll pay a lot more than the students.
Still cheaper than most other places tho.

Come September you might be able to join the university club too, depending
    on their insurance arrangements.

Just wait until you try climbing outdoors, it's even better :-)

  5. Aberystwyth Uni and you can use it as a member of public, they allow most of
the Uni sports facilities to be used by Loe Public. It's very handy.

  6. Looking forward to it... We keep driving past rocky bits and it's certainly
making us think about finding out more about it all.
