There are lots of tinned things, for those willing to carry the
weight. Tinned tuna, for instance, can be mixed in with other things,
or presumably tinned chicken/other meats. Then again, you could just
set aside part of the dehydrated packet, cook the rest and then return
the extra bit to the pot. I should think that would produce quite a
lot of lumpy bits :-)

happy with cous cous... but on its own?? ;-)
Hmm.... I quite like it on its own...

indigestion (and I haven't tried them since), my question is the genre
more palatable "these days" or are there any varieties that are better
than others.
I like the ones with croutons, and interesting flavours. I've just
bought a pile to take away with me, and they're made by Symington's.
I've not had them before, but they looked nice and I trust Waitrose 🙂
I got three exciting flavours (all with croutons): French onion,
Shropshire pea and Tomato with basil. I'm planning to put 2 in a
Kettley Thing full of boiling water. Yum :-)
