  1. used my 1.5l camelbak bladder for the first time yesterday,i rinsed it out
just in water the night before then filled it up & put it in the fridge
overnight.the taste from it the next day was just plastic flavoured
water..horrible,should i have washed it in something else before use?

A good idea is to add about one tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda and lave

for 24 hours, then rinse and use. I have found this tends to remove plastic
taste and also staleness after standing. Also useful for flasks of other
    liquid containers.

I had the same problem, solved by bicarb of soda. Now it tastes just
like my Platypus - which is tasteless.

Don't fill it up the night before, this gives it time to absorb the
    plastic taste.

When you're not using it, put the bladder and hose in a plastic bag,
seal it, and chuck it in the freezer.

Before using it, drop the bladder and hose in some warm water, and it
defrosts quickly. A _quick_ rinse and you're ready to fill it and go.
