    This appeared in the shed. Since no one there has replied - a
    rare occurrence but it has to happen sometimes I suppose - I said
    I'd copy it across to here just in case one of our intrepid
    walking colleagues can assist.

    I've got one that I was given as a present. Send me your address and
    I'll see what I can do. Note de-spam-filtering instructions in sig.

    Mind you, I found it wasn't much good for me, even with the
    instructions. Going uphill it tended not to record my steps,
    presumably becuase there's less of a jolt to activate the pendulum
    mechanism. Even if it did record them, I don't think it would be at
    all accurate for hill walking, because of your different stride length
    when going uphill, downhill, or on the level. Maybe it would be OK on
    level made-up paths and roads.
