  1. Okay, so who else is excited about the Olympics besides us?! It only
comes around once every four years where running gets the respect it
deserves. Who has the best web coverage?

    Sam and Ray

  2. WTFC's?

  3. IC!

  5. The respect it deserves?
I can't wait to see all the dopers trying to look sincere as they collect their medals.

After the Harrison situation, I wonder if Tori Edwards will actually run in
    the relay.

I am not sure distance running gets the respect I think it deserves even in
an Olympic year. The coverage is usually lacking.

Edwards' situation is that she is currently suspended for 2 years. If the
appeal is granted and a warning is given, she is clear to run and there is
not going to be a "hidden" test anywhere.

The real question is if Edwards' is suspended and Devers passes on the 100m
and/or the 4x100, would the staff pick Marion to run the relay? That might
be more like the Jerome Young situation from the 4x400 from Sydney.

  9. The seven people actually watching this stuff should all get together at
one house. Grill some bratwurst. Maybe some tater salad.

Athletics (track and field for you leftpondians) is elbowed out by
girly nonsense such as rounders...I mean baseball, basketball
ferchrissakes, beach volleyball, softball (whatever the hell that is),
tennis, football (soccer) and all the other joke Olympic events that
have been included over the years to satisfy narrow interest groups.
The World Athletics Championships is far more interesting.
