  1. i just ran into this problem in another forum: a while ago, i replaced the bb on my 1978 px-10. i put in a 68mm un-72 with bsc-threaded cups, and it went in pretty easy, though easier on the adjustable side than the fixed side. it was very slightly loose, but not loose enough to matter. for a while i just assumed peugeot had switched to bsc at that point, but they had actually changed to swiss, which is french but left-hand threaded on the drive side.

the bb that came with the frame was almost definitely -not- original, or at least the adjustable cup wasn't, so maybe it was bsc-threaded and paved the way, as it were, for my un-72? has anyone else had experience with this kind of thing?

English is 34.8 mm x 24 tpi and swiss is 35 by 25.4 tpi. Not interchangable, but close enough to get away with when sticking an english BB into a swiss shell.
