I apologize for putting this in rec.bicycles. racing but I follow the
discussions here and news in other places. Do any of you use the rss reader
with the site? At the present, I'm viewing through Outlook Express and I'm
looking for a better way.

*** Site? OE is a news and email reader.
Usenet isn't available via RSS. Yet.So. I'm confused.
I use Pluck for RSS feeds. It sucks, takes
time to tweek till you like it, but it lives
alongside IE and does the trick.Next development round will see greater
RSS reading capability built into all
sorts of devices. iPods will display
RSS one day. As will smart phones.---

LannyI've used about 10 (ten) newsreaders since 1992 and not found a better
one than Outlook Express.Oftentimes I am forced to use Google Groups which has a huge delay (2
to 10 hours). Plus its interface is crude and it misses articles. You should be overjoyed with OE (at least version 6).

Anyway. The free version of Free Agent is fine.
The paid version is finer. But he's asking about RSS, not NNTP.

I was thinking about RSS with the news group but didn't realize it wouldn't
work. I use OE but have thought about moving to Thunderbird to match
Firefox. Is RSS worth it for pulling news off website? I realize I might
have to go back to IE.

See, I know how to snip effectively, but the
great unwashed masses do not. My affectation
is a simple attempt to maintain attribution.I think.
