    It'd better not be - its new owner got a working bike that I restored in

    Not sure it is art - just vandalism photographed. Maybe it's just because I
    was in Heidelburg last week where there are thousands of bikes parked in the
    streets but I do think it is saying something profound - profoundly bad -
    about our attitude to bikes. Perhaps it is art then.

    It's always possible that that's 1000 quids worth of custom-made
    hand-built wheel while the bike it was attached to was something the
    owner found in the local dump and wasn't particularly fussy about
    losing...
