Winter Gloves

I know where you are coming from. I've suffer terribly with my hands in winter and have bought quite a few expensive pairs of gloves...even seal skins gloves didn't do the job. I have however, just purchased a pair recently which are fantastic. They are called 'Tempest' by Altura and they are made from Sympatex which is waterproof and wind proof, they have gel padding along the palm areas of the hand and they have rubber grips on the fingers...and they keep my hands as warm as toast.

I got a pair of Neoprene Pearls from Nashbar for $20. They block the wind and the rain, and they give me good feel on the bars. There is no padding, but when it's cold enough to wear em, I'm not out long enough to notice

I see that you are in the UK - I don't know how cold it gets there, but if you want something super toasty - try Pearl Izumi lobster style gloves. I wear them here in Hokkaido during the winter, down to about -25C or so they are still warm...I suspect UK winters are not QUITE that cold 😉 , so perhaps they would be overkill. But if you want the warmest, they are definitely worth it, much warmer than just neoprene, although not as flexible.

Are the Pearl Izumi lobster style gloves better then the Performance or generic brand? Looks like twice the price?

I just got some of the Pearl Izumi's for my birthday and love them.
