I've got a Gitane Mach 2200 in my sites for $2200.00 AUD is this a good deal? I have also been looking at a Felt F60 for similar money but the Gitane if fully Ultegra spec'd. One issue I am concerned about are the Wheels Shimano R-540's. Does anyone have any suggestions? I plan on most road racing and the odd Tri in summer.

Your money will buy heaps, check out the Cytec bikes, all ultegra with Ritchey wheels for about $2000, also have a look at the Giant OCR 0 which is about $2200 with Ultegra, Shimano R550 wheels and a some carbon in the back. Remember to test ride and go for the one that fits best not which one is on sale.
