Slime Tube Question

The tubes may fit, but why not just put Slime in the proper size tube?!

I used Mr Tuffy's for a while, What a bummer!! Every tube that was against
a Mr Tuffy ended up with a cut across it - where the end of the tuffy cut it.
I tried both directions and 'ended ness'. I'd rather take my chances with
glass, goat-head thorns, etc than use another tuffy!!

I had the same problem.
Cut the Tuffy so it doesn't overlap.

The instructions if I recall insist they be overlapped, mine was and I had
no problems in over 2,000 miles

I put Mr Tuffy liners in the tires of our BikeEs two years ago when we
kept getting leaks from glass shards the tires picked up while we were
riding. After putting them in we had no more problems, although I did
have a valve stem separate at the rim and a pinched tube when I
changed tires. We have put on over 3000 miles on tires with Mr Tuffy
liners and have not had a flat from glass, nails, or thorns.

We had great luck with them, on the other hand when I used slimed
tubes I still ended up with flats from a slow leak. It just allowed to
us to pump the tire up and get back to the car before it went flat
again.

I prefer the Mr Tuffy liners.

I have used Mr tuffy and had the problem mentioned above of the tube
wearing through where the ends overlap. This was after 12 months and
around 9000 km. No flats due to glass though.
I have also used an old inner tube with the valve cut off. This is also
very effective but somewhat heavy. I saw an example of this in a LBS
with a tire stuck through with thorns but none had gone through the tube.
I suspect that this is because the tube lining the tire is being
compressed and therefore much harder to push through.
