    Bootes banned for six months
    October 9, 2004

    AUSTRALIAN mountain biker Wade Bootes
    has been suspended for six months after testing
    positive to a banned stimulant.

    The Court of Arbitration for Sport imposed the
    ban after Bootes returned a positive test at the
    Mont Sainte Anne Mountain Bike World Cup
    in Canada.
    Bootes competes on the MTB 4-Cross and
    BMX circuits.
    The 30-year-old Queenslander is a former
    Australian mountain bike and BMX cyclist of
    the year.
