I don't think anyone is complaining about the automated system or their
deliveries. The vast majority of my purchases have been prompt and
trouble-free. The problems I have had with wiggle have been when I have
had to email them to ask about a product before buying or complain about a
faulty product. It is then that they seem unable to answer their emails.
If they are going to remove their phone number (though I have their number
conveniantly on their Howies tee shirt) as a normal access point then they
must improve their handling of queries and complaints via email.

  3. I've had a good experience with them when they substituted the wrong type of tyres - quick response and a quick refund too. You're absolutely right that the true test of customer service is when they have to deal with things going going.

I emailed them this morning about an outstanding order and got a reply
    within an hour.

Good, it sounds like they have tightened up their email system.

My big, big problem with wiggle is that someone else in my department uses
them. My office is next to the parcels table so when I come in I often see
wiggle boxes sitting there. And they're not mine!

The big distinctive boxes mean that ones workmates rip the [censored] about just
how much kinky lycra gear you buy.

My workmates just comment on what a great name "Wiggle" is. The only
time they've ripped the [censored] slightly was when my Lumiycles arrived on a
day that I wasn't in the office. I can't remember now whether the
invoice was folded in such a way that the value was visible through the
"Documents Enclosed" envelope, or whether the receptionist had opened
the envelope in case it was a work related parcel, but either way the
box was left on my desk with an invoice on top where everyone could see
    what I'd paid.

My colleagues couldn't believe that I'd spent nearly 200 quid on a set
    of bike lights.

Most of my workmates have been surprised to find that I often spend
more on the lights alone than they pay for a whole bike :-)

I was going back through some receipts from when I was a penniless student
and discovered I was spending more on bikes then than I am now..
The difference being that now I have lights that work and a bike or three
that work sufficiently well that I don't spend a lot of time faffing with
    them.
