Yeah, but Aldi isn't that far away and you can visit for an almost on the
spur of the moment purchase. Buying from EBC would take a bit more
organisation and effort.

I've never been to Aldi before, but I understnad there are a few in the
south Manchester area. Anyone here from the north west use these stores, and
which is the largest (i/e/ has the best stock) the area.

Might be talking mince but I don't think there is such a
thing as a 'larger' store, indeed ALDI seems to have a
policy of different regions having different stocks.

That they've (according to past postings) been told repeatedly about this
and still won't fix it is annoying, but probably not worth boycotting them
over. (They don't have to make pages linkable to directly if they don't want,
but they could at least fix the error page to tell you what the likely real

Yep, I will second that .......... could not get rid of summer cycling
kit in my local (Lincs) Aldi ...... so prices tumbled ............ so
I bought a lot as spares etc. :-)

Road tops for £2.99, track mits for 99p well I mean !!! Throw away
prices (bet this statement attracts some comment)

I use the one in Didsbury. There used to be one in Rusholme, which was a
carbon copy of Didsbury in both size and layout. Who has the best stock
will depend on how quickly after 9am on Thursday morning you get there.

if they aren't big enough? :-)

I got some a year ago from Aldi or Lidl that seem to match the
description. Mine are 430 x 25 mm. Of the 430 mm, 230 mm is flashing
refelective band, then a 90 mm elastic segment that will stretch
to 140 mm, and the remainder is Velcro 'loops'.

If anything, it's too big, with the end half of the reflective
band not finding any loops to attach to, and so sticking out a bit.
But it's secure enough. I've not yet used it though. 🙂

Yes brilliant ............. our pet greyhound has one (round her neck)
and when she runs off out into the wilds at dusk ...... you can see
her for miles.

Excellent training aid as well (Greyhound I mean) really gets those
leg muscles going trying to chase ............ especially if you put a
rabbit suit on as well !!!

From Withington go down Wilmslow Road past Christie hospital. Straight on
at the Fog Lane traffic lights. Then as you get to the start of all the
bars and restaurants on the left, Aldi is on the right. It's set back a bit
from the road and a low building, so it's easy to go past and not notice it
when you aren't deliberately looking for it.

Well I went to my local one in Tottenham and saw no trace of the rucksack
ever having existed - not even an opened packet minus contents 🙁 I still
managed to spend nearly £20 on stuff though - winter jacket, shorts etc.
Funny how you can go in and not find the thing you wanted and still come out
