A real small compact one is by Crank Brothers. It is less than 6 inches long and has two modes; high volume and high pressure. Run you about $20.

I have the Topeak Road Morph and am very happy. :o
If you check the sites and compare specifications, one of the criteria that seemed important was the number of pump strokes needed to inflate a tire and also the max pressure capabilities of the pump. Think about it, having to strain for over 100 pumping strokes to reach the needed pressure on a tire, and you may be too tired to do any more riding after fixing your flat. :eek:
