OK, I'm checking out the web page for the NORBA National Championships, trying to get a feel for how big a rig is needed to deliver national championship jerseys to USAC. And I see event #72, Wheelchair Downhill.
This would seem to be an event tailor made for a masters fattie like myself.
So my question is, do you have to be disabled to enter? IOW, can I buy my mom a racing chair, perhaps something that I could mount a set of 'cross sew-ups on, and borrow it for Nationals? I really want a jersey.

Pick on MFs all you want but leave disabled people out of your site please. There really are actual people that have physical limitations. These wheelchairs help them to remain mobile and the events help some of them remain feeling connected to the world of competition. If you are going to enter in one of those events, you may as well go the full George Castanza route and ask your employer for your own bathroom, private wheelchair accessable office and washroom, and so on. The great thing about being disabled is that if you think you are, you really are.
