Since you are using it for commuting, I would go with the larger one because it offer more options for carrying that unexpected item.

Gruppo has a good point. I have the TopPeak Quick Release Medium Wedge and for my commutes I find there's some days it's just not big enough. I'm thinking of getting the Nashbar Frame Pump Bag to compliment the wedge only on those days.

I was thinking of getting a trailer for the days when I have to haul a bunch of stuff back and forth so I would never have to drive, but when I approached the FFO (Family Financial Officer) with this she thought it was a whole lot funnier than was really necessary.

thanx guys, i might stick to the larger one, now that i think of it, with locks, spare tubes, and everything else it will be handy, also a good place to keep my stuff when i'm not cycling.

It may be more expensive, but i can pay it.... arh the joys of being single, sorry spearslinger...

I have the same bag (topeak large aero wedge saddle bag) and when you start putting stuff into it, it's not that big. I have it expanded and with a spare tube, a small patch kit, tire levers, wallet, and a couple tools it is almost full. There is just enough room to cram a small phone and a powerbar in there. The tube takes up most of the room so if you don't plan on putting a tube in it you might be OK with a medium but the extra room is always nice.
