    Due to mass police presence on Caversham Road. I put it down to
    another cager fender-bender, but sadly not:

    Female cyclist dies after crash

    A 26-year-old female cyclist has died after a collision with a car on
    a main town centre road.
    The crash happened at about 0630 BST on Monday in Caversham Road,
    Reading, Berkshire.

    The accident involved the cyclist and a VW Golf Ryder car. The woman
    was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died later on Monday.

    Police say they have made no arrests and are not yet able to release
    details of the victim's identity.

    I hope it's nobody I know :-(

    It's quite easy for a car to hit a cyclist when still on his/her bike. It's
    harder for a cyclist to hit a car driver, unless perhaps the window is open.

    The mention of the model of the car could be a subtle way of saying "it
    was a boy racer wot dunnit".
