I finally got some rollers but the front wheel sits a bit higher than the rear wheel does. Is this a problem? I thought the wheelbase might be a bit long for them.
If the wheelbase is too long I could try drilling some more holes in the rails to move the front roller a little further along.
As a side note: I'm having a lot of fun with these. Much more interesting than a mag trainer. To begin with I was moving erratically from side to side, grabbing onto the handrail next to me and not peddeling very fast at all. I'm slowly getting the hang of it, still can't do it without concentrating though. Any tips?

Hmm, it looks ok to me. There's not much too them is there. I wonder, if I pinched some rollers off one of the conveyers at work I could easily make my own.

you need one of them big lap 'clocks' and 'uncle' to give you some Patra orange juice afterwards :-)

Certainly isn't. I got a few prices for them and they are kind of expensive new. That's why I went with a second hand one. It took a while for one to come up on ebay but when it did I got it for less than I would have happily paid.

Having had a look at the pics rather than moving the front roller forward you might actually need to move it one hole backwards so that the front axle is over the roller. What you'll find is the steering will be a whole lot lighter and you won't be fighting the bars to stay in the centre of the roller. It also make it easier to ride no hands on the bars. If there is a slight difference in the height between the front and rear wheels I don't think you'll notice it while riding. I never have.

What sort of bike is that? I've never seen a frame like it.

I've got nothing to compare the steering to so I just assumed all rollers would be the same. I'll move it back and see how it goes. If I do notice the height difference I might stick something underneath the frame of the rollers.
I was hoping there'd be some rule of thumb about the position of the front roller. Something that I might have read in the manual if I had one.

An old and apparently unpopular one. It's a Mountain Cycle Moho Road. Mountain Cycle are more well known for making mountain bikes like the San Andreas. They've also made a few road bikes though. I've been riding the cross country Moho frame for a few years so I bought the road model because I thought it would be fun to have matching bikes and it was cheap. If you're interested I could find a picture of the cross country bike or some more of the road bike.
