If you were at the Yellowmundee 12hr mtb race, you may well have seen me!
Frame neon, fork "neons" (actually electroluminescent sheet),
electroluminescent wire on my helmet and spiralling inside my wheel, a
number of red flashers, and a blue Knightrider light from Jaycar on my
helmet.

(phew) but they don't do it justice, especially as the copyright protection
text blocks out most of it, and it works better in full darkness.

Since then, I've added a spokey thing with LEDs that flash, bought 4 more EL
wires, and am looking at TireFires, HokeySpokes, and those things that
write words in the wheel (in flashing LEDs) - m-a-a-a-a-a-te.

Mind you, I don't always have them fitted, but it is fun.

I've only been pulled up by the cops once - so I've changed the Knightrider
flasher to just move, rather than flash - blue and red flashers are
restricted to emergency services. The cops actually loved it all, and
wondered where I got it from. Maybe we'll see a new look highway patrol
soon?

Perhaps they will fit them to their bicycle patrols.
Nearly collected one of those camped on a median strip one night.

I've had blue and red flashing lights on my bike and the cops have never
