BTW, you can also find these with the Trek name on it, but it is the same trainer made by CycleOps. But this is probably not the best time of year to find a trainer discounted at a Trek dealer.

Ditto. My CycleOps fluid trainer has been very very good to me.

Is it quiet? The last trainer I had was noisier than a banshee. My wife has actually told me to get a new one 😄

I have no personal basis for comparison, but in general I believe the fluid trainers are quieter than those based on air resistance. My wife and kids just turn the volume up on their toys when I use the trainer!

My old one is magnetic. A older Minoura.
