  1. Is this on currently? Recently I've heard of issues with JohnB, Jon Senior,
    Vernon.

I've just joined the fray - well, it was an attack on my bike, although it
was abandon the bike or get hit. Pringled the front wheel. He did say he was
going to plod, but I wasn't entirely surprised to not find him there. Oh
well, we'll see what happens. (previously NYCP have been very heplful).

    cheers,
    clive

Reply to my own post, sorry.

So I'm putting a new rim on - likely to need new spokes too?

    cheers,

If it's been pringled, yes. If it was just worn out and the spokes were
    s/s, no.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. But the way you've written this makes me
curious - what exactly happened? Why did he want to either pringle your
wheel or hit you instead? Was this a motorist or ped or was it something
else and not road rage at all? Just curious.

Motorist. Narrow lane, we had a collision, his mirror went bang. I stopped
to exchange details, he came after me.

Sorry to hear about yours. Hope you had noted his details.

Hope you got the most minor possible bruise or cut, so that he's done
a hit'n'run from an accident involving injury.

He didn't say why, he just said he was going there (more than once). I think
he thought the collision was my fault. I think his brain kicked in after he
left the scene when he realised attacking me wouldn't exactly support his
    case.

  18. Oh dear, sorry to hear about that. Hope you're not too stressed out? Did you get his reg. no. and report him to the police?

Ah, that explains it. Too bad. That's the sort of situation where it could
be hard to establish liability - at best 50/50 probably. Petty damage too
no doubt, not really even worth the aggro of exchanging details and arguing
about it. Anyway anyone who passes that close to a cyclist deserves to have
their mirror broken 😉 I think unless _I'd_ sustained any damage I thought
worth trying to claim for I'd have taken that as sufficient justification to
not bother stopping and disappear rapidly from the scene!
