Isn't buying one on ebay missing the point? The money is supposed to go to
some sort of charity, not the ebay seller.

I already donated some money to the LAF in a work related quiz which was
more than I paid for the bracelet and presumably the seller paid for it as
well so the LAF hasn't lost out.

So... instead of giving more to LAF, you gave your cash to some private eBay
seller? Not that I see a great deal of value in UK citizens in supporting

Maybe, but I wanted one ( to remind me of my mother when I go out riding)
and this seemed the only way. As I say, the LAF has received money from both
myself and the seller. IIRC, they were selling for only 1 euro at the T de F
and I've sent the LAF 50 euros.

Also, if people at work see it and ask about it, maybe they will do
something for a cancer charity ( a lot run the "race for life" anyway). The
LAF also funds cancer research which is shared with the rest of the world
including the UK.

I bought mine in Paris at the TDF. As far as I remember it said on the packet that the money stays in the country that it's bought in.
