Not a bad idea to use Looks on it. Couple of downsides: Shoes aren't
great for walking; shoes can be more expensive than those that take SPD
and similar cleats only. Pedals themselves can be inexpensive.

It took this middleagedfatbirdonabike very little time to get used to them. It
took my teenage son about 30 seconds to get used to them.

Don't get Look's - get yourself some SPD-SL's.
V.easy to get in and out of, very light, and come in shiny versions too 😉

V.easy to get in and out of, very light, and come in shiny versions too 😉

Cosider Time Atacs - bigger platform, simple to use (no adjustment required
once you've put the cleats on your shoes and bags of float so kind to your
knees.

the main reason i was going to use look pedals was i have recently started
track cycling with my son and we borrow a bike which has look pedals but use
a strap attachment to clamp our feet in. i was trying to kill 2 birds with 1
stone really. while we are on the subject can anyone recommend some
reasonably priced cycling shoes which will take look cleats.
