  1. Hi

I've just spent a while drooling over the pictures on the Leitra
website. Does anyone here ride one and, if so, what are they like in
hilly country? They seem pretty heavy, but there's something about
riding in a smart, weather proof fairing that does appeal to me. Not
    that I can afford one!

There are a lot of other velomobiles out there; indeed I think the
Leitra is among the least smart and the heaviest.

    Look at Birkenstock <URL:http://www.speedbikes.ch/butterfly.html>,
    Velomobiel <URL:http://www.velomobiel.nl/>,
    Flevobike <URL:http://www.flevobike.nl/versatile_fotoboek.html>

There was a good comparative review in Velovision not so many months ago
    - check the back issues.

There are several other types of velomobile too, some which IMO will
make you drool even more. Personally I didn't like the look of the
    Leitra, but loved the Quest.
I certainly went through a few days of the "I want one" syndrome until
SWMBO waved the bills and my tax return forms under my nose :-(
There were some excellent articles and comprehensive reviews in the last
    issue of Velo Vision (June):
    http://www.velovision.co.uk/

Regarding hills, there was a picture of a Leitra that had just been
    delivered to someone in Aberdeenshire.
