  1. I have recently taken up cycling and initially bought a hybrid bike - as Claud Butler Urban 100.
I have since then found that i prefer road cycling to off roading and am now considering purchasing a road bike.
My budget is only £300.00, so appreciate I will probably have to buy a used bike! I am 5'10" tall, so advice as to what size would help!
    Anyone able to help?

    Regards

    Andy

N.B. I live in Leics, if that helps!

  2. Hello

Sorry, I can't help, I'm also new to this. Are CLaud Butler bijes any good? I have found what seems to be a good deal on discountbicycles.co.ukClaud Butler Dual Suspension Bikes.htm

Yeah you are right in that new road bikes often start a lot higher in price than other types of bikes. If you are purchasing second hand, make sure you see the bike. Never buy one without seeing it as it could be cracked, or bend which would then mean that it is basically worthless. You might want to look at one that is just a few years old. These can generally be set up to more of a recreational bike that older road bikes can (eg. ahead stems etc.)
