Most original bike?

My Merckx is my most original, besides tyres, the only changed has been an
Ultegra double c/s changed to an Ultegra Triple. I specced the bike myself
so it has everything exactly as I want it, hence no reason to change
anything. (Ult triples were not available when I specced it)

My son Peter has a bike which is completely unmodified. Apart from a
flag holder.

My Moulton had it's first replacement tyre and tube 2 years ago - not
bad for a 40 year old bike!

Good going. I thought my wife was doing well when she changed her tyres on
her mountain bike after 17 years.

The Streetmachine comes with a raft of standard options, so you can have
quite a wide variation in spec and still be "original". I think the
only thing I've changed on mine is upgrading the Vs to Maggies, but the
Maggies are a standard option so I could've had those from the start
from the factory. Aside from that I've put some reflectives on the back
of the seat, and added a couple of puncture patches to the rear tube!

My grandma bike is pretty original. There is a new brake cable and new
tyres/tubes, but the rest is original (apart from the horn.. Parp Parp)

Must service the front hub brake again.. It is a bit temperamental.

After just over a year, my Giant is unchanged bar the brake blocks and
chain.

I make up for it by tinkering with the recumbent on a near daily basis!

I had a custom Malc Cowle tourer built in 1991 or 1992 with everything set
up to suit this short slow cyclist. It has only had replacement of worn out
bits. The chains, tyres and brake blocks are as close as I could get to the
originals. The Onza clipless system wasn't as good as the SPDs on my other
bike, so I wasn't disappointed to find that Onza had stopped doing them
when I needed new clips on my shoes. The rubber grips on the ends of the
handlebars that came with the Gripshifts started feeling tacky so I
replaced them with foam ones. Today I replaced a broken bar
end plug before setting off for a tour of the flatter bits of North Wales
tomorrow.

If I were speccing the bike again today the only thing I'd change would be
the Gripshifts. I find it too easy to get into a position part way between
two gears where the chain makes clicking noises. I'd pick some sort of
thumb operated changer instead.
