  1. As many of us know, cycling can be very zen-like. To that end, I thought I'd make a feeble attempt at some bad cycling haiku(s). Here are some very bad examples indeed. Please, I beg of you, write something better than this but make sure to maintain the five-seven-five syllable rule.

    For Lance...

    Keep your cadence high,
    Maintain a fast, steady pace,
    Win the Tour De France

    or

    Livestrong in yellow,
    Inspire many and raise hope,
    Sheryl sings softly

    For Tyler...

    Pain is not felt long,
Teeth and bone can be repaired,
    Olympic Gold shines

    For Chris Horner...

    Blessed with speed and strength,
    Whining doesn't help you win,
    Shut up and pedal

I know these are bad but I'm sure there's a skilled poet out there somewhere...

  2. About my bike ride this past weekend 🙂 :

    The Pryor DAM JAM
was fun and the air smelled sweet.
    It was a good ride.

  3. Went for an 11mi climb
    Never stopped until the summit
    I'm getting stronger
