Leader Frames?

I actually just got my second leader this weekend, unfortunately I'm having the shop install a few parts so I'm without it until wednesday. Judging from the first these are awsome frames. The handling is superb, the power transfer incredible. This is from the 715, which they aren't focusing on so much any more. It'll beat you up a little on longer rides especially if the quality of the pavement is sub par. But for a racing frame it's awsome. If you can hold on a week I can give my feelings on the 780 as well.

Thanks for the info. I'm actually looking at their 735 (the TT frame), but I'd love to hear your impressions of the 780 after you've had a chance to ride it.
Some people have told me that I should stick with frames that use brand-name tubing (Easton, Columbus, etc), but others have told me that it's largely the same.
Also, did you buy your bike/frame online? Or did you have a local dealer? I'd like to take one for a test ride, but I can't seem to find a local shop that carries them.

I ride a 785R have approx. 2000 miles on it am very happy with the frame. It is finished well, rides fine and is a great climber. I recently bought a 735R for my wife and she loves the bike. I highly recomend them. Sal from Leader was very helpful when we ordered the bikes. They came just as represented on the internet.

I have a 735 frame 59cm and have been very happy with it. I think they very well demonstrate the overpriced frame that the big name companies are selling. And that's all they're selling. Everything else between two bikes is identical.

There is no risk in buying from them. If for some reason you didn't like the frame, (but you will!), then replace it (if you buy a complete bike). You're getting the frame practically for free if you price the components somewhere like performance. Is that the true for the big name companies? No!!!

I have a leader 785 bike sold through a local cycling club in Bay Area. I've had it for about 1 year and I absolutely love it. It's great for training and it's very comfortable to ride on.

Some people actually do race them in northern california. I don't - I just prefer bikes to be super stiff when racing but when I am training or commuting, I'm using the 785 one.

Sal is the owner and he's been generous in his answers when I asked him tons of questions. They've got my respect and I think this frame outperforms a lot of more recongizable frames on the market.

I'm seriously thinking of getting the leader 735TT frame, it's cheap but the quality is probably good.
