but it is a pain having to take it back. Just been converting a friend's
Ridgeback Genesis to drop bars (he wouldn't listen when I said was he sure
he wanted flats!) what a mess of his gears his LBS made as well!

Well, I know how to do it myself, but for some reason the thought hadn't
occured to me to alter the limits. Must be hard of thinking lately. Only
this afternoon, I laid under my car and had a poke around the bit I was
going to paint. And discovered nowt but nice, solid iron oxide. I really
should have done that *before* I spent £120 on paint, spray guns, filler,
masks etc...

Anyway, the bike shop doesn't open again until Thursday, so I reckon I'll
get the workstand out tomorrow and get it sorted. Almost a full week with no
riding would drive me mad. Especially now I'm working indoors (*spit*).

New, ie different, chainset may need a different length bottom bracket as
well.

But at least now you are all ready to paint it after you've finished the
welding....
