Simply put, it's where Internet Explorer saves what you view, to save download time if you go back to the same page again.

To see what's in there:
Using Internet Explorer go to the pulldown menu Tools, choose Internet Options. On the General tab, click Temporary Internet Files-Settings>View Files.

In the window that appears go to the pulldown menu View and choose Details.

Now click on the column heading Type, to sort them into order.

You're probably looking for a Shockwave Flash Object - scroll down the list and see if there are any large ones there. Look at the Internet Address for one from the site you watched the advert on.

When you find it, right click on it in the Name column, and select copy.

Now go to My Documents, right click and paste.

Double click the file - if you are asked what program to use, choose Internet Explorer.

I've done exactly the same thing today, so here's my two cents 🙂

Take the time to watch the video one more time from the Nike site if you've recently cleaned your internet cache.

Search your hard drive (Start > Search > For Files or Folders) for the file magnetVideo.swf (may be magnetVideo[1].swf). Copy it to somewhere easy to find like your desktop or My Documents.

Go to www.aya20.com and download a copy of Hot Flash Player (you can get a free download that allows you 20 uses).

Install Hot Flash Player, and add Lance's movie using the buttons on the right hand side of the player :p

No doubt there's other ways, but this one works for me.

For those who haven't already viewed it online you could right click save target as on this link. Otherwise grab a copy from your temporary internet files.

When you open this file in your web browser it will probably be a black box. If it is, you'll need to right click in there and select play.

It's unduly cumbersome. Since you're obviously using IE with the
Flash/Shockwave plugins all you need do is either right-click the SWF file
and Open With IE or even simpler associate SWF with IE and open it normally.
An IE browser will open up and play the file. QED.

Unduly cumbersome it may be - just like many of your verbose and pointless replies on this forum - but it is a method that allows me to take the clip anywhere I want, such as on a work computer where no internet browser is provided. As with many things in life, there is more than one way to skin a cat, and the easy option does not always work.

Hot Flash Player is a Windows application. Microsoft got into an awful lot
of trouble because of that.

This could go on forever DRS, and I reckon you'd get your kicks out of people entering ongoing arguments with you. Fortunately, I have a bike and lots of bike friendly roads to enjoy, so this is the extent of my response to you.

Fact is, on my NT workstation, I have no access to IE or Netscape, or any other browser. None. I don't know how they've done it, and frankly, I don't care. I'm more intersted in how my bike works than how my work computer has been de-internetted by the almighty IT boffins.

All I know is that the process I have shared allows me to watch flash movies when I want, on the computer I use. That's all. If you don't like it, fine, don't use it - someone may find it useful in their situation. While you're proving your computer wizardry to us all and sprouting on about your beloved etiquette, I'll just be out clocking up some k's in the sun.
