Are we up to BR11? Who's in or has everyone got Father's Day commitments. I'll be there (the first perk of being a Dad is that you get to do what you want for at least some of Father's Day).

Sunday Morning fog then mostly fine. Min 5 Max 17
Return of the arm warmers. Brrrrrrr.
If you get to do what you want on Dad's Day how about you ride at a decent time instead of at sparrow's fart? ;-)

A: Top-posters. Q: What is the most annoying thing on Usenet?

Because part of what I want to do is spend time with my family. And on Father's Day I might get to have a nap in the afternoon to compensate for the early morning.

Someone's going to have to start calibrating speedos! You are getting serious :-)

I'm still not up to the trip just yet. I'm hoping I will be back on the road by next weekend. For now I'm just riding indoors on the Ergo until the strength in my ankle returns. Eventually I might get to see this shiny new steed of yours.

Would have loved to be there, I could even have let FD slipstream behind me to break his record. 😉
No outing for me though, I am in HK and this morning I found out that my grannie died. It has been a [censored] sunday for me. Hope you enjoyed it.
Heeeey, how did that happen? More aero position or 250 cadence? Nice one.
Cheers.
didnt do my usual hesitation/situp halfway down. the quickest spot is just before you level out at the bottom. also the smoothest. The bumpy bits in the top half usually mess with my head. Apparently Bill (Kyra) said he hit 89kph but im thinking maybe (hoping) his speedo is calibrated differently

yep, mine said 89kmh when i looked at it... i had to take off the glasses to double check... I went past mr paconi (sorry, don't know ur name) and was nearly taken out by that 4wd... oh well.
Was a good ride, i wasn't dropped, so i'm happy with my effort.
Had a very close call as Jas pulled off at balwyn road... I was riding down towards donny rd through the strip shops, an old man started to turn into a car park in front of me... i thought he would spot me and wait, but he kept coming and coming in... i was sitting on 55 i think, it was either start pushing the pedals or slam on the brakes...yeah, especially happy to still be seated after that!

The name is Phil. My speed read was 81 close behind Jase when you went past. I'm not surprised at 89.

Thanks for the ride..will definately do it more often. Good training - some hills, some speed. With Saturday's race I'm feeling it today.

I should have watched my speedo going up from Warrandyte rather than down (when I'm too busy watching the road to look at the speedo). Had to stand on the pedals earlier than I expected then realised up near the top that I was still in the middle chain ring. Doh! If only I could afford that Flightdeck.

Hah! nothin better than strugglin up a hill and realising that you got some more gears left 🙂))
And bill. I want 'certified' proof that your 89kph is just that! (or at least relative to my speedo). Doesnt seem fair just rocking up and beating my record like that without trying 🙁 (altho extra style points for taking on a 4WD)

Keep bringing back this juicy recon info.. I'll fit a 56T/11T and get back to you.. :-)

Next time I go with you I'll pedal all the way and not freewheel and see where that takes me. Only five days left. 🙂
