I think I am gonna get a set of the spacers (better than the plastic ones that I pulled out of a couple of old clusters), a dedicated single speed rear cog (only $5.95), a new chain and front chain ring.......please don't tell the missus.

I've got some alu spacers in my setup. Musta been from higher end cassettes or something?

is there something Im missing but what is so specific about a SS/fixed front hub??? (apart from it being just bolts and not QR...) Sounds like a marketing dept blurb to me... "Instant water. just add water and stir!"

Other than being bolt up (QR IS an option..) The only reason for buying one is so you have matching front and rear hubs. Vanity is a wonderful thing for the economy...
