Nashbar Carbon Forks

I decided to resurrect an old custom steel frame from about
1979/80 that I rebrazed to fix a crack. It just came back from
being powder coated, and I was putting it together with parts
from the basement parts museum (took forever to find the drop out
adjusting screws). The problem is that I broke the forks to this
bike years ago in a roof-rack/garage mishap and was intending to
use an old pair of Kestral EMS forks that turned out to be too
short. I cut down some steel forks I had hanging around, but
they are pretty beat up and the wrong color, too. So, to make a
long story longer, I was thinking of using some super-cheap
Nashbar brand threadless carbon forks (yes, I will make a cheap
change over to a threadless headset, too). These look like
Kinesis or Easton. Anyone have any input on these forks. -- Jay
