Hi folks, I've been away from this group for so long I hardly recognise the
names anymore .... apart from MV. Was doing an organised ride over the
weekend in a nature reserve, very near to the coast line. A third of the
course was sand peppered with the biggest mole holes I've seen in my life.
Needless to say I entered one of those holes and bent my hanger in the
process. Put the Allen Key into the nut of the RD and did a pretty good job
of straightening it out. What I would like to know is, does someone have any
homemade tool / gadget to align the hanger properly ? Obvioulsy it must be
aligned east-west as well as north-south (?) I can get a tool here in South
Africa for the equivalent of $200 but it's a bit steep, considering the few
times I've actually needed to straighten it out.
Cheers
Bernard.
