But only by 2s.The last evening 10 of the season, the hill climb; I
thought I should be OK, having done a one day "training camp" in
Mallorca last week, but it all ran out on the first bit. Oh well, my
excuse is that you don't attack hills in audax so I can't get my legs
to do what they don't want to. Bring on the IOW on Sunday!

By definitionNo indeed, if any was like any other sporting event e.g. running I
would probably be quite highly placed, but TT's don't exactly
encourage a large spread of abilities. I have even had timekeepers
pack up at the finish before I finished (on my only ever 50)
Still thank heavens its over for another season, now for some
enjoyable riding (if you can call winter riding enjoyable) -

I tied for 1st in the series (but only on a handicap basis - I'm still
slow, albeit 30 seconds faster than in my 20s). At the risk of

Our club hill climb is in September. I stand absolutely no chance,
being a complete non-climber, but the CTC event the same week is more
promising. -

Did you ride the 2003 CTC southern Challenge? That's you on page 23 of the
Dec 2003/Jan 2004 edition of Cycle, isn't it? -

the
Dec 2003/Jan 2004 edition of Cycle, isn't it?It is, I'm not doing it this year as a) it clashes with a 25 I have to
marshall (Hrmmph) and b) the other club rider is in Prague that
weekend, will do it next year, it is a pig, but a breeze compared to
the Surrey Hills! -

time, if they did that in my club I may have stuck at it, but TT ers
are an old old breed, surprised they don't still wear black! -
