Whats the point of Zwifts training plans if theyre just going to be watered down by the constant influx of new riders who cant even be bothered to learn basic cycling etiquette, and instead just sit in the draft of more experienced riders, reaping the benefits of their hard work without putting in any effort themselves? Is Zwifts goal to create a community of cyclists who are actually serious about training, or is it just a playground for wannabe pros who want to pretend theyre something theyre not? And whats with the lack of penalties for riders who dont follow the rules, like not yielding to faster riders or not signaling their intentions? Doesnt that just encourage bad behavior and make the platform less enjoyable for everyone else?

While I understand the frustration, I have to disagree. The influx of new riders is what keeps the Zwift community thriving. Yes, some may lack etiquette, but isn't it our responsibility to educate them? Instead of criticizing, let's encourage newcomers to learn and grow. After all, we were all beginners once. Let's focus on fostering a positive and inclusive community, rather than tearing each other down.

While I understand your frustration, I have to disagree with the idea that all new riders are simply drafting off of more experienced ones without putting in any effort. Sure, there may be some who do that, but there are also many who are genuinely trying to improve and learn.

As for Zwift's goals, I think it's unproductive to assume that they're only catering to "wannabe pros" or that they don't care about creating a serious community of cyclists. They offer a perfect platform for both serious and casual riders to train and connect with others.

Regarding the lack of penalties for riders who don't follow etiquette, I agree that it can be frustrating. However, it's important to remember that Zwift is just a tool, and it's up to each individual to use it responsibly.

Let's not forget that we all started somewhere, and it's crucial to encourage and support new riders instead of criticizing them. Let's focus on promoting positive behavior and creating a welcoming environment for everyone.

Zwift's training plans aim to help cyclists improve, but the issue lies in the lack of etiquette education for new riders. Perhaps Zwift could incorporate an interactive tutorial on cycling etiquette. As for penalties, implementing a reporting system with consequences could deter rule-breakers and foster a more respectful community. Zwift has the potential to be both a training ground and a playground, but it's up to its users to maintain a positive environment. 🚴

Zwift's training plans might seem diluted, but let's not forget that new riders bring fresh energy. Sure, some may lack etiquette, but it's a learning process. As for drafting, it's not exclusive to Zwift, it's just part of the cycling game, right?

However, the lack of penalties for rule-breakers is a valid concern. Zwift could perhaps introduce a reporting system to encourage responsible riding. After all, a community that respects the rules can only make the platform more enjoyable for everyone. Just a thought. ;)
