  1. Anyone know about how much difference in weight (2004 models)there is between a 55cm Lemond Zurich and 56cm Trek 5200 frameset?

    at least ¾ of a pound or more. You can e-mail Trek, and they could come up with a more exact figure. http://www.trekbikes.com/home.jsp

    Excellent guess!! Actually got a reponse from the Trekkies. They provided app. values for the triple stock bikes as:

    "The preliminary estimated weights for the 2004 ZurichT is 19.3lbs and the 5200T is 18.2lbs. These estimated weights are based on stock 55cm (Lemond) 56cm (Trek) "

    Taking into consideration the slight differences in stock wheelsets, stem & handlebar. I figure the frameset difference is something close to 394grams (.87lbs). Closer than I expected with the steel spine.
