  1. I was at a local cyclocross race yesterday. One of the leaders of the A-Race gently laid it down in a slippery corner. A rider behind also gently (from my perspective) rode into his rear wheel. CRACK, one broken Zipp 303 carbon rim. I was surprised to see how easily it seemed to crack.

    Not a good rim for cyclocross.

    A few years ago when they were called 340s or something, they were notorious for cracking during road races. Some people would crack both front and rear on the same pothole.

    I'm thinking of getting 404s for next season or maybe Hed H3s...
