I've been reading as much as possible about Zenker's Diverticulum. I have a pretty large Diverticulum. My endoscopic surgery is next week. I am built thin and have a very high matabolizm. I am grossly underweight.
I have a friend in Winston-Salem who is built very much like I am. She recently was diagnosed as having a Diverticulum as well. She and I are both aged in our mid 40s. Does anyone know if there is a relationship between matabolism and the likelyhood of developing Zenkers? I've read that it is unusual for Zenkers to appear in person's under 60 years of age... yet here we both are, under 60 and very thin.
