  1. Hey, I fixed my shoulder.

I was good fiddler for a while there, but I had to quit due to what
was diagnosed as myofascial pain syndrome (and I do have
fibromyalgia). Somewhere down the line I took a job as a painter --
didn't paint much, as I was mostly a prep guy. Please note that this
was a desparation move, and my wife and I more or less agreed that I
wouldn't be able to do the job for more than a couple of days.

As part of the prep, I would kneel on fridge-size cardboard boxes and
cut them up into two inch strips with a utility knife. This would be
single-thickness cuts, horizontally (the 30-inch or so width), over
plywood sub-flooring, and I would do the entire strip in one motion,
using my body to supply some of the force of the cut. One fridge box
would just about do one house...

Anyway, after the first week of doing this, I had NO PAIN in my
shoulder -- could do anything I wanted with it, for the first time in
a freakin' decade. I can substantiate this for anyone who cares to
    doubt me.

Now I have seen a lot of therapists and done a lot of excercies with
rubber hoses and stuff that sort of looked like what I was doing, but
the resistance wasn't the same, and I would swear that I was using
different muscles to do it with.

These days, I do a lot of sitting and typing, and occasionally develop
a little stiffness in that shoulder. So I go out to the barn, kneel on
the floor, and cut up cardboard for kindling. Shazam! Brand-new
    shoulder.

I have seen MDs, ODs, massage therapists, pain management specialists,
witch doctors and wise guys, and nobody could fix me.

I had to do it myself.

  2. Now after working it out strenuously put the ice pack on it each time. It
may not come back at all after a few times.

Accupuncture is excellent for these types of injuries.
