begin rant/ Unbelievable. Here is a guy who has been training and preparing for months and is on track for a record attempt at riding unassisted around Australia and some idiot motorist with absolutely no concept of the danger he puts cyclists in, and who must have been having a bad day, decides to try and run him off the road and then fisti-cuffs him! And in my home town too! [censored]! /end rant . . . ok feeling better now.

almost identical scenario happened to me about 9 months ago. Driver confronted me and started pushing and puffing his chest out. After i suggested he better stop, he retorted "So wattya gonna do about it?". Obviously looking for a fight, I calmly locked up my bike to the seat I had stopped at and walked to the door of the establishment and said, "Well, can I assume your here to make a delivery?". "Yeah, so???" (at this stage i should eloborate that the 'establishment' is the aged care home my mum lives in). "Well, what Im going to do is go and see my mum. And after that Im going to speak to the management and make sure you lose your contract to deliver here ever again!". "B@%#@%t, you will!", he exploded. Result. He did. Moral? If your gonna be a [censored]. dont do it with signage on your vehicle. bit of a giveaway...

I remember having the upmost sympathy with a truck driver who got out and assaulted a woman who horned him in a traffic holdup; and I would like a bit more info before I hold judgement.
