  1. Several years ago I was given an old Trek factory prototype OCLV MTB frame (see:
    home.earthlink.netstealth.html). In the process of "prepping" the frame I
    wet-sanded the entire thing (which was nude carbon fibre to begin with). As I recall it didn't
    appear to have been clear-coated. Should I be concerned about UV damage? Does anyone know if Trek's
    epoxy incorporates UV protection?

    BTW, I've been riding the bike since 2000 with no noticeable degradation/discoloration of the frame
    material; but then I'm primarily a roadie who only occasionally rides the MTB. I've no idea what
    kind of use it received while still at the factory.
