When I am in the small chain ring and small cog....my chain rubs on the inside of the big chain ring making a decently loud noise. I know you are not supposed to cross chain the other way...(big ring, big cog) I assume you are not supposed to cross chain this way either. Anyways....just wanted to know if that is normal or if something is out of alignment. Thanks.

This question is a good one. I heard that in some bikes there is no rub an in others there is rub, I have Ultegra double, and Tiagra triple and there is rub, does anybody got a bike/configuration where there is no rub?
please specify groupset/framesize/chainring size/ rear derraileur size( small, medium, large) etc
