  1. I bought new nicks & jersey today; I found with riding regularly I need another set. Plus it's an excuse to look through the bike shops which I really really can't afford any new bike parts from. Or so I keep telling myself. I definitely can't after how much the jersey cost 🙂

I've noticed there seems to be two distinct kinds of bike shop: The sort that has lots and lots of new bikes and hardly any other gear (eg. only a few choices of clothes); and the sort with a few bikes but nothing under $700AUD and lots of gear. I'm starting to suspect the first sort profits mostly from people who get into riding for a week or so and the latter sort is aimed at people who are already into riding and if they were getting a bike it'd be a good one and a lot of what they need is accessories & clothes. The trouble of course is it can be hard to tell which sort of bike shop you've found until you walk in and look around.
