When i yawn my Hr goes down a few beats. I've been yawning regularly now when ever I go on rides. any clue on how that works????

It's due to "spillover" of activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, which controls both yawning and heart rate. For the same reason, your heart rate (and blood pressure) will drop a bit when you burp or urinate.

It's a vagal response, the similar thing happens when you bare down. Also, when you rub your eyes, it slows down your heart rate a bit. I used to use this in the emergency room for heart rhythms called superventricular tachycardia. A hard cough will do this too.
