Xxalps

Does anyone know anything about this tour (or maybe it's a race) across the Alps? There is a website at www.xxalps.com, with some details. I'd like to know if anyone did it last year. How many people enter and is there a good spread of ability or is it only for elite riders (ie not me)?

Dunno about xxalps, but there's a race called the transalp - http://transalp.upsolutmv.com/en/

or, if you fancy a similar thing in North America there's the trans-rockies, and down in South Africa the Cape Epic - http://www.cape-epic.com

Thanks for these - they look a little more ambitious than what I'm after, but good to browse over anyway!
