xt-xtr skewers difference?

  1. Can anybody tell me the difference between the xtr and the xt skewers, besides the color and $10 I can't find it.

    Basically they are the same. The finish is a bit nicer on the XTR's. The XTR nut is made out of machined aluminum with a steel insert and rubber fitting at the end to keep it from spinning loose freely and getting lost when the skewer is loosened. The XT nut is a metal piece where it makes contact with the dropouts and the rest is a plastic cap.
