Are you talking about where the pad is held on with a pin?

As long as the pad isn't dragging don't worry too much about it.

Kind of hard to envisage what you are talking about exactly. Do you mean the brake shoe holder, or the parallel push linkage section?

If the former, there could be some problem - though this is unlikely. If the latter, these linkages all develop play over time. While it's not generally dangerous or detrimental to the brake's performance, the rattle can be annoying, and somtimes the looseness causes brake squeal. For this reason a set of small shims is available to tighten up th linkage pivots from your nearest Shimano dealer.
